Faces and Places

 

The Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce (Texas) named Barry Albrecht president. He is a Certified Economic Development Master Practitioner and site selector and was previously CEO for multiple regional economic development corporations in Texas, Arizona and Oklahoma. He is also founder of Strategic Location Services LLC and served in the US. military as an Army aviator.

Chris Cate was named president and CEO of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce (Calif.). He succeeds Jerry Sanders, who retired as the chamber’s leader last year. Cate is a former city councilman and founder of 3MC Strategies.

The Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce (N.Y.) named Peggy Coleman president and CEO. Coleman was previously the chamber's vice president and the former director of Visit Ithaca.

Katie Cook is the new president and CEO of the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce (Mass.). Cook was previously chief operating officer at the state auditor’s office.

   

The Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce (Fla.) named Charinus (Char) Johnson-Davis president and CEO. She succeeds Cindy Brief, who retired after 18 years as the organization’s leader. Davis was formerly the chamber's executive vice president after serving 30 years in the nonprofit sector. 

 

Rosa Magnus was named CEO for the River Falls Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau (Wis.). Magnus, who succeeds the recently retired Russ Korpela, was previously a development and volunteer services manager for Western Wisconsin Health and has worked in non-profit for 26 years.

The Laurens County Chamber of Commerce (S.C.) named Dabs Maness Davis president and CEO. Most recently, she served as the Upper Savannah regional career specialist for the South Carolina Department of Education.

The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce named Matthew Pivarnik, CCE, IOM, president and CEO. He was previously CEO of the Greater Topeka Partnership (Kan.). Prior to his time in Topeka, Pivarnik served as the executive vice president and COO of the Tulsa Regional Chamber in Oklahoma.

The Greater Sumter Chamber of Commerce (S.C.) named Breanna Wise president and CEO. She first served as the chamber’s director of communications and then director of programs and events.
