Community Events in the World of Covid
When the Conway Area Chamber’s iconic community festival, Toad Suck Daze, had to be canceled due to COVID-19, the chamber lost no time in taking action to retain much of the sponsorship income associated with the event.
By leveraging drive-through and virtual events shared through the creative use of social media, the chamber was able to keep most sponsorships intact and maintain a famous brand that unites the community and raises scholarship funds for area youth. The chamber has also been successful in taking other major chamber events virtual.
During a recent ACCE Webinar, Conway Area Chamber President and CEO Brad Lacy, CCE and Chief Revenue Officer Lindsay Henderson shared lessons in how being nimble and inventive can help your organization maintain event profitability and positive relationships with community partners amidst the COVID-19 Crisis.
