I am a CCE

Angelle LaBorde, CCE

Meet Angelle LaBorde, CCE, president and CEO of the Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center (S.C.). In May, Angelle will mark 30 years of working in the chamber industry. Her first chamber job was serving as area council manager, representing Jefferson Parish, at The Chamber/New Orleans & the River Region. Angelle earned her Certified Chamber Executive designation in 2015.

How has earning the CCE designation help you grow as a chamber leader?

Earning the CCE was a challenging, meaningful milestone. The process challenged me in ways that deepened my knowledge, strengthened my determination and sharpened my vision.

What is your favorite thing about working in the chamber profession?

The chamber profession delivers real impact daily—supporting businesses, serving communities and connecting people. It's deeply fulfilling, and I’m grateful for this rewarding work every day.

What is your hidden talent?

I'm a Connector extraordinaire! I absolutely love making introductions and bringing people and services together. My ultimate goal is engagement. When people feel welcomed, they also have a strong sense of belonging.

Share a fun fact about yourself.

I was the first employee of a new, emerging chamber of commerce – the Jefferson, Louisiana Chamber. When I came on board, we had 100 charter members. The journey over the next 7.5 years was remarkable, and it was a privilege to help guide our growth to over 1,000 members. It was a collaborative effort that I will always cherish.

Three words that describe you?

Ambitious, enthusiastic and meticulous.

What is one thing you can’t live without?

I thrive on interaction with others. That's why I love this profession. It’s ideal because it offers constant variety and exposure to so many diverse people throughout our community. (And, a close second is CHOCOLATE!)
